The slots floor
The floor at Shorelines Slots holds 150 slots and no table games. Anyone looking for blackjack or roulette needs a different venue. Doors open daily, year round, from 10:00 am to midnight. Holiday hours should be checked on the venue's own site.
Two operators share the property. Great Canadian Entertainment runs the slots, while Kawartha Downs runs the racetrack and the Player's Lounge. Racetrack enquiries go to 705-939-6316, and the slots line is 705-939-2400.
Saturday harness racing
Harness racing runs on the same grounds in summer. In 2026 the track held 16 race dates, all on Saturdays from June 6 to October 3. First post was 6:00 p.m., and admission to the races was free.
That season has ended, and racing returns in 2027. Dates for the new season are not yet in this guide, so the racetrack line, 705-939-6316, is the place to ask. Kawartha Downs celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022.
Café, parking and ID
The Player's Lounge & Café, on the slots floor, is 19+ with ID. Hours run Monday to Thursday 10 am to 9 pm, Friday and Saturday 10 am to 10 pm, Sunday 10 am to 9 pm. The café phone is 705-940-0237. Kawartha Downs describes the lounge as fully accessible.
Parking is free, the slots use Great Canadian Rewards, and Comp Dollars are accepted. Entry is 19+ with a valid original government-issued photo ID, and a secondary ID may be requested: We ID under 30. Smoking or vaping is limited to designated areas, and cannabis is prohibited on the property.
Seen from Port Perry
From central Port Perry, Kawartha Downs lies 45.8 km away in a straight line. Shorelines Casino Peterborough is 7.7 km from the track, so the two can share one trip.
The real difference from Great Blue Heron on Scugog Island is the floor itself. Great Blue Heron has 20 live table games, with $15 blackjack among the lower limits, while Kawartha Downs offers slots only.
