Casino Ajax at Ajax Downs

The floor at Casino Ajax is built around 500 slots. The operator also lists electronic table games, plus a restaurant and bar, but there are no live table games with dealers. Doors stay open 24/7, so the machines run through the night as well as the day. The address is 50 Alexander's Crossing, Ajax, Ontario L1Z 2E6, and the toll-free number is 1-866-445-3939.

Casino Ajax sits at Ajax Downs, where quarter horses race. In 2026 the track has 22 race days, and the season ends October 21.

As of October 7, 2026, Casino Ajax is affected by a labour disruption but stays open 24/7. Vehicles are let through the picket line about one per minute. Parking in the outdoor lot stays free. The Getaway Restaurant is open 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a reduced menu. These arrangements can change, so check the casino's own page before setting out, and check holiday hours there as well.

Parking is free in an outdoor lot. The Getaway Restaurant is 19+, like the gaming floor. Casino Ajax uses Great Canadian Rewards, the same loyalty card as Great Blue Heron on Scugog Island.

Entry is 19+ with a valid, original government-issued photo ID, and a secondary ID may be requested. The operator's code of conduct puts the rule in four words: We ID under 30. Smoking or vaping outside designated areas is prohibited. So is cannabis anywhere on the property.

From central Port Perry, Casino Ajax is 26.3 km away in a straight line. It is a different kind of stop from Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel on Scugog Island. The island casino has 20 live table games, with $15 blackjack and $10 Let it Ride among the lower limits. Casino Ajax has no live tables at all.

Pickering Casino Resort is 30.3 km from central Port Perry and 5.1 km from Casino Ajax. It is also affected by the labour disruption as of October 7, 2026.
